Type 2Existing or proposed inline water quality wetlands
A flood control channel with an earthen bottom that is widened or dammed up to form a man-made wetland a few feet deep to slow down the water flow and allow natural cleansing of the urban runoff within the channel.
Type 3Water quality wetlands within existing or proposed detention basin
A man-made wetland constructed within a portion of a large flood control detention basin to naturally cleanse urban runoff before it continues its path down the flood control channel.
